Sunbeam Bungalows

This is an amazing place to go and unwind. Fish. Relax on the beach or on the deck with a fire pit. Or even at your own bungalow. A great place to get away with friends ( without kids) but also a great spot for kids as well. The cleaners come by everyday and tidy things up. They wipe down outside furniture. Clean out the fire pit. Come by everyday and collect garbage and recycling. I've never experienced that at any other rental places I've been to. The owners are very kind and tentative. We had the pleasure of conversing with Darren the owner. Whatever you need or whatever needs to be done they are there asap. And the maintenance guy Jimmy is very helpful and super cool as well. I can not say enough good things about this place. We can not wait to go back.

First time at this resort on a fishing trip. I'll be back next year. Fishing was real good. Darren and Sarah keep everything from cottages to their boats real clean and maintained. Need a boat they got it or bring your own boat like I did and they well have a slip for you. Want to hang hang on the beach they have kayaks, canoes to use and Games for the kids. Also they have BBQs to use at the beach and lots of spots to hang out at. Also very well lit up at night.

What a delightful place. Everything is very well maintained. The cabins, the beach, the docks with sitting area, all were top notch. The owner, while very busy on making the place special for his guest, would always take time to say hi and explain the resort amenities. Highly recommend.

My husband, Louis and I have stayed here many times and have always had an incredible experience. Fantastic amenities that our kiddos love too including a private beach, boats to rent, bait available to buy, inflatables to play on in the lake, kayaks, paddle boats, and much more. Clean cottages with beautiful sunsets and live music on Wednesday nights with a fire pit and s’mores. Perfect location that is walkable into the cute little town of Callander. What we love most about Sunbeam Bungalows are the owners. Darren and Sarah‘s hospitality is unmatched and they think of every little detail. They always go out of their way to make sure your stay is an amazing one!

Darren was a huge help when I was in a bind. He was so kind and accommodating. His kindness and effort to help me out was very heart warming. The location of sunbeam is so convenient close to a local grocery store, ice cream/pizza place, gas station and chip stand. Beautiful beach and dock across the road. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful retreat!

Been up here 2 years in a row. Look forward to many more fishing trips here. Boys and I are amazed at the service that goes above and beyond. Cleanliness is amazing. I hear summer experience for families are just as great. Definitely hoping to experience with the family.

Everything you need is just a short drive or a pleasant 10-12 minute walk, along the water, away. The amenities are fantastic — there are BBQs and fire pits for cozy evenings, whimsical outdoor solar lights that add a magical touch at night, and plenty to do throughout the day. You’ll find viewing docks, paddleboards, canoes, paddle boats, kayaks, beach volleyball, and more. The seasonal marina is the best around, offering a convenient boat launch, gas sales, and boat rentals. Whether you’re bringing your own boat or planning to rent one, everything is seamless. They also sell fishing bait and licenses on-site, making it easy to enjoy a day on the water. And don’t miss the live music on Wednesday nights — the bands are always excellent and create an unforgettable atmosphere. This place is a true hidden gem that far exceeded our expectations! This place and the overall hosting by Darren and his crew was nothing short of impressive. All our needs were fullfilled. You need wood, one quick text and it was at our doorstep in less than 10mins, minnows and worms like magic just appeared at our cottage or boat. Fire pit cleaned out every morning! (who does tha?!) The crew is working every cottage area, every pathway and roadway to ensure that they are constantly kept clean and tidy. Cleanest cottages we’ve ever been to. Cleaner that some air Band Bs we’ve been to. Couldn’t find webs or debris anywhere!! The beach and patio setups on his docks are truly impressive. Plenty of separate areas to chill and relax in. Beach Volleyball court is professionally set up. The boat rental was worth every dime. Cleaned out daily for the next day’s fishing, didn’t expect that, awesome!!! This place is great for any guys (or gals) fishing trip, family trip, or just a couples retreat. You need to experience it to believe it. Thank you Darren!
